CZECH GLASS VASE - NOT/NEW
CZECH GLASS VASE - NOT/NEW
Made by the Mstisov glassworks, and designed by Frantisek Zemek in the 1950's/60's, part of his Rhapsody range.
The Rhapsody range was devised in 1956 by František Zemek (1913-60), it initially came with coloured knobbles melted into the body. In 1960, the range was refreshed and the coloured knobbles were changed to applied straps.
This innovative and highly successful range was fully shaped and worked by the glassmaker when the glass was molten - a relative novelty for Czech glass at the time.
Height: 35cm
